Francis John Wood is listed on the online electoral rolls at 5 Swanage Road from at least 1912 till 1927, but has gone by 1930, though that does not necessarily mean that they still lived there when the photo was taken.
love the first photo mike...have agree many changes and it is hard to believe they are the same house...i wonder if francis john wood was a professional person as he had his name above the door
I do understand the practical reason why people extend the front of houses to make a porch and enlarge the front room but, to me, it really spoils the original design of the house!
