Does anyone know of a shop that was somewhere on Summer Lane that sold cooked meats/faggots etc as my Nan owned the shop and I have never found out anything about the shop....where on Summer Lane it was etc. I think it would have been 1940's/50's/60's she was called May Woodward and she had 5 children...called Ernest, Nora, Thomas, Hilda and Clive.....hope someone can help cos I don't have must info to help.......
 
I remember a shop in Summer Lane that sold faggots,chiclin & hodge etc;
It was on the east side of the Lane,and i think between New Summer St & Hanley St.
But the names i associate with this shop are Everret and also Thomas.
Dont know if this is of any help.

My boss at the hairdessers Mavis used to work at a hairdressers called Kitty in Summer Lane when she first started and she married a guy called Peter Trueman whose mom and dad had a butchers in Summer Lane called Truemans.
