Think that's a good idea Phil. It's a petrol heads site, so don't think there's likely to be any voluntary recognition of sources of their material. Be interesting to see if your watermarking idea works. Viv.
 
I don't think I can put watermarks on the photos without causing the images to disappear from the other site so I will have to check. Maybe causing the images to disappear would not be fair because all of us have copied or linked to images from the internet at some time or other.

I did do an edit in Coppermine which has changed the last pic in their post and they might not be happy with that so I might change it back. I can't see the person's name in the member's list so they must be using a different name there.
 
That was my thinking too Phil. Think we just have to accept the situation, unless Warren has any other ideas to mark Coppermine images. But thanks for trying. Viv.
 
Afraid I cannot see what is wrong in any pictures disappearing or changing. Agreed others have copied them, but the others probably copied them for a good reason and if someone removes pictures from say photobucket, then they are removed from our site and although we regret it, we do not and could not complain
 
It would be nice if the poster had even gone to the trouble of identifying the city, let alone having the courtesy of acknowledging the source!

I don't really understand how Coppermine works and I was thinking of deleting the few photos I have there, does this mean they will be deleted in my posts?

Hi Rosie, to be on the safe side I think it would be better to leave the few pics you have in Coppermine.

Just viewed Coppermine after along absence and was both astounded and pleased to see 4 of my paintings in the first 4 places of 'Top Rated', Very proud of that fact and wondered how voting takes place.?? Eric

Thanks Vivienne, I do have paintings in the 'Most Viewed' section so perhaps its based on that. I'll be getting a swollen head !!! Eric
 
I had turned the bottom pic sideways on the 'petrol heads' web site but I can't turn it back again. Perhaps they won't notice ... :)
