[DennyMac] Hi, does anyone have any idea as to the style of houses/shops in Steelhouse lane before the police station was built in 1892? [Carol Lynn Williams] thanks for your help!:love_heart:

i did look at the painting a while ago (though can't find the post) and decided that the building with lettering saying Clarke was no 132, which made Slaney st just behind this building. There could be artists licence though
 
This is from our it may be of interest department
In 1962 one Robert Chaplain who was a Pistol manfr, living at 25 Steelhouse Lane was paying £7 11s 6d a quarter now
in the same year James Farrall was paying $4 12 s 6d a quarter for the same street
