I felt sure we had a Stanford and Mann thread, but I’m unable to find one. Do let me know if you find one. Thanks.

Meanwhile, Stanford and Mann were advertising in 1957 a phenomenal array of pens for sale, a while department dedicated to them. The ideal Christmas present. When I was being "kitted out" for grammar school I was given my first fountain pen by an aunt and uncle as a reward for passing my eleven plus. They told me that they had been "all the way up to Stamford & Mann" to choose it and to make sure I looked after it. I did so all the way through my time there but in my last year it went missing, never to be seen again.:sob:
