I am researcing Horace Stafford who I now was born in Aston in Sept 1885. I know the family lived in 5 Great Francis Street in Aston in the 1901 census.

I also know Horace served in the Royal Army Service Corps during the great war. Interestingly there are transcripts in from the House Of Commons from 6th August 1919 in which Horace is discussed as an individual between Winston Churchill and Sir Owen Thomas on how he was still in France but was required back in Birmingham.

Does anyone know anything of Horace or his family???

Re: Horace STAFFORD, Aston

Re: Horace STAFFORD, Aston

Hi Shera
Thanks for the information. It is very interesting as in the 1901 cesnus Williams wife is detailed as Mary A Stafford and she is declared as two years older than William.

I am guessing that either Annie died and William re-married another older lady or that Mary and Annie are in fact the same person and that the "A" in Mary A Stafford stood for Annie and that is the name she called herself later in life.

This is becoming addictive!!! :-)
