Hi

I have a marriage of an Eliza Chamberlain to a John Austin at St Phillips, Aston in 1832 - would that church be the present city cathederal or was there a church called St Phillip's in Aston. also wondering if Eliza was from the famous Chamberlain family.

Any ideas?

St. Phillips the Cathedral is the only church of that name in Birmingham. Records start in 1715. But having checked the records the marriage was 1st October 1832 at Aston Juxta Birmingham, which is St Peter and Pauls church Aston.
