This photo's quite incredible Lyn. The Brewmaster's House standing alone, pre-restoration and pre the development of the canal side etc. This shows how remarkable it is that the building survived all that modern development. Very surprising. Another great find Lyn. Viv.
i just love this one too viv...its amazing what they have done with the canal side and of course the house...so pleased it was saved from the bulldozers...for once a success story...
If it weren't for the house, you'd find it hard to believe it's the same place. It's good to see it's been transformed from the forlorn area of post #1 to the modern, bustling canal area in Ell's posts. Viv.
A couple more photos of the Brewmasters House. One in 1986 before the demolition of St Peters Place and one in 1987 just after the demolition whilst they are still clearing the site.
