the first marriage between thomas clayton and hannah powell was the

correct date but there is no other info at all

the other two...cant find them. are you sure it was st martins?

Hi Shera

Not 100% it may have been St Peter and St Paul as they were living in Aston.

Thanks so much for looking though i am trying to find out if Edwin Clayton may be William Clayton as my gr gr grandfather George Clayton who married Kate Adderley dad was named William as far as i was told so just trying to confirm a few things, it is so frustrating when you dont have enough info.

Kind regards Paula:(

i know you have some of this info but didnt know if you had it all. also on igi eliza winkle ancestry goes back to 1730 so hope you can access it.

Hi Shera

Thanks for that i did not have it all just a bit that someone sent me who said they were a match with my Claytons but i will have to do a bit more digging to see as not 100% on the father of George i will have to order George's birth cert to see whether it say's that his father was William as i thought. I do know they changed there names around so it probaly is the same family.

Thanks again for your help, i will probaly get back to you if that's okay as i have surnames Boulton Baker Hollins Newton Bissell Clayton all living in and around Aston.

Kind regards Paula

i should definitely get the cert but as far as i can see following the family back to 1841 it was edwin not william.

Hi Sera

I will have to order the cert, i don't know if it me getting confused but i have William Clayton on 1861 census wife Ann and son George Clayton born c1853.
