Jan, do you have any census history for them.I have found out some facts about a couple who i think are yours but if some one can prove me wrong i would be grateful as I have searched thoroughly and only come up with this answer.

I searched for John Tustin b. 1830 Solihull
A John Tustin was baptised both 1829 and 1830 Solihull(these are from extracted records) and both times no father just mother Anne.
An Ann Tustin married Thomas Reeves in Elmdon ,2nd May 1831.
In 1841 they are in Hampton in Arden with Children
Emmanuel 9,Amelia 6,Sarah 4,Ann 1.
John Tustin is not with them and i cannot find him on 1841 census.

all surname Reeves.
Search for Emma Reeves who it is possible could have been related to John in some way.

Sarah Attwood age 30 not born in County
Emma Reeves age 10 not born in county(Yardley was in worcs)
Emma Reeves baptised yardley 20th sept 1829 mother Sarah ,no father listed.
Samuel Atwood married Sarah Reeves ,13th Oct 1835 Hampton in Arden.
Perhaps thomas Reeves was Sarahs brother.
Was the name of witness Samuel Atwood and did they both give stepfathers names for their own father.
Fanciful,I know but you never know what to expect in genealogy.
