I am looking for information on James Dodd that married Sarah Wilkinson, 23 Jul 1788 at st Martins Church, any information as to there parents, siblings or children would be great, as i am stuck on this branch now.

PWS I am afraid earlier church records do not give parents names. Here's what I found for you.
James Dodd widower and Sarah Wilkinson Spinster.
witnesses Augustus Dodd and Susanna Dodd both marked with an x.

Those 2 that signed as witnessess, are the 2 names i have as possible parents of James so it looks like i will claim them as parents now.

PWS looks like your clan here. Don't worry about name spellings as they were often spelt in different ways in the past as most researchers will tell you.

Have just read your message. I am looking for info on Wilkinson family of Birmingham. An Esther Wilkinson married Robert Green, but that is all I can find out about them, so can go no further back. Do you think your Wilkinson's are the same family?

Many thanks pomgolian. I did have the marriage and their children, but had no idea that Esther was living with her sister. A friend on the Genes site has her sisters family in hers, but I don't think that she knew Esther was living there also.
You Birmingham people are wonderful at finding things, and you all seem so friendly. Not like some other sites I've been to.
I still need to know Esther and Robert's parents, so keep on looking folks please. Many thanks to you all.
 
I know I have put sister in my message, but obviously meant daughter. Sorry, it was morning when I wrote and I don't wake up until after dinner!
