shaygriff

proper brummie kid
I have family that according to Family search :birth Cannon St. Meeting House -Baptist, Birmingham, Warwick
I also have a copy of a births register that say's the same members place of birth was St Martins.
Why is this do you think?

Shay

Oops. I've just noticed that the register say's "daughter of xxx and xxx of the parish of St. Martins. Doe's this mean that they were maybe baptised in Cannon St and registered in the St Martins parish books?

ive no idea really but would guess that they were baptised in cannon st. but lived in the parish of st. martins. if you put the names and dates i will check if they are listed on st. martins records.

Hei Shera
Here are the names Martha Vowles 17. march 1760, Susanne Vowles 3. nov. 1776, Joseph Vowles 13. oct. 1779, James Vowles 6. april 1781 and William Vowles 15. sept. 1791.
Thanks
Shay

I think that you have it correct... baptised in Cannon St, but living in the parish St Martins, as I believe that at one time only Church of England Anglican churchs were recognised for BMD
