I cant find you a photo of The Carpenters Arms which was at number 63 St Georges Rd on the corner of Hospital St. I think it may have been bombed out during the war as it was certainly there before the war but seems to gone missing by the end of it or around that time. This is a photo of the Birmingham Arms that was at the other end of the street at the junction of Hampton Street.
mike thanks for the 2nd pic..now all i need is one before the pub was bombed...will keep searching...seems thats pubs were popular targets round that way as im still searching for a pic of the globe inn..this time corner of william st north and hospital st which was also hit and raised to the ground
thank you mike..thats the corner i imagined it to be on...ive got a pic of the queen adelaide that is also showing on the map and that was demolished in 1928 so can be a tad annoying when i cant find any of pubs that we still up after that date...never mind i will keep looking...
