“ST. ASAPH'S C. OF E. SCHOOL, Bow Street. St. Thomas's National Sch., Bow St., built 1859. Enlarged 1862: after this it consisted of 2 schoolrooms 1 classroom, and a teacher's house. Received annual grants from 1865. Name changed 1869 to St. Asaph's National Sch. Fees 1874: 1d.–3d. Altered 1894. Enlarged 1904. Bd. of Ed. condemned buildings 1912. Extensive alterations made 1929 and sch. reorganized for JI. Closed 1948 owing to the dangerous state of the building.”
