There is an exhibition of work at the Fusilier Museum in Warwick until 25th May which also has work from conflicts between 1899 to 1956.

They were also taught embroidery later as well.
My Dad - who served right at the end of WW2 (called up when war was on but by the time he had completed basic training the war was over) - was ill in hospital in Leeds while in the army and was taught to embroider.
