Smith Boys 1958

New challenge for all you, attached is a photo of my father George and his brothers taken in October 1958, since it is prior to any of my southern relatives Weddings I am assuming it is taken in or around Birmingham. From left to right they are, Bertie Smith (born 1904), Frederick Robert Smith (born 1907), James Edward Smith (born 1900) and George Joseph Smith (my father born 19/03/1912). I believe only Frederick and/or James had daughters so they are no longer 'Smiths'

They also had two sisters Lucy (always known as 'Sis', born 1902) and Florence (born 1909) who are not in the photo.

The family lived in or around Sparkbrook from late in the 1800's up to at least 1939 (last known address for their father James Joseph Smith was 27 Montgomery Street, Sparkbrook).

Question 1, does anyone recognise where it is?

Question 2, is their anyone out there related to any of the above?

You folks are good, nice to find a building from my family's past that the bulldozers haven't been at!

So if it was a wedding at St Agatha's in October 1958 (might be September remembering the speed my father used to get photos developed), I should be able to find a record, any idea where?

I don't know if the church keeps records from then, but there are 1035 'Smith' marriages in Warwickshire in 1958 to choose from! A clue as to the spouse's maiden name (or the groom's name if it was a female Smith wedding) might help.

Lloyd,
You've just hit the nail on the head, my fathers brothers only had girls and the sisters may have had boys, either way, that is why none of the remaining relatives in Birmingham are called 'Smith'. If only it was just difficult. I shall try emailing the Church, thanks for the link.
