Though I have no proof, I believe this is a photo of the running club meeting at The Small Arms public house in Muntz St dated 1898. The name of the pub is nowhere in view and the title of the photo only gave the name of the street (Muntz St) and the date.

I have that picture on my hard drive with the file name Small Arms, Muntz St. Got no idea where I got it from though.

I'll take that as confirmation of my assumption then, thanks.

Below is a cutting from when the "clearing" of the pub, and others was announded, with a very poor picture. I omitted to put a date on it, but probably around 1972

Well done Mike, thats a frontage photo of one I don't have. I don't need to tell you that I have nicked a copy and cropped and enlarged it a little. A bad photo is better than no photo, and its now in my pub file.

I'm not so sure.

From these pictures it seems like its either a different pub, or it was altered a lot. I used it quite oftem myself around 1972/73 and come to think of it, the narrower doorway, and the frotages being bigger looks more like it.

Also on the picture we already had, it looks like a flat roof.
