Sloane Street

proper brummie kid
Hi all

Just asking if anybody has any photo's or information on Sloane Street, B'ham? My great-grandparents Frank William & Fanny Goulden lived at 15 Sloane Street on the census's around the 1920's, they also come up as Golden on some census's which is a mistake.

Thanks

Dave

It also comes up as Golden in the electoral rolls for 1920-27, but is correct in 1930. Having trouble working out exactly which house it was , as OS maps of the area do not seem complete around that date, but think it was probably the house in red on this c1889 map (where the street is called by its then name of Tyndall St). The buildings which were definitely nos 7 and 43 are also marked. The numbers ran consecutively up the street.
