I am trying to locate ancestors of Robert E Sill. He married Iris Bullock in the Dec qtr 1949 in Birmingham and died 27th July 1997. He was a Police Constable and I have the 1911 census of what is possibly his father, another Robert Sill, also a Ploiceman b1883 in Westmorland, living in Cartwright Place, Inkerman St, Vauxhall, Birmingham.

in 1901 agnes wood aged 20 b. stourbridge is working as a servant (helps in bar) for david bloor and family. david bloor is a publican and they are living ashted row, bham

The 1911 puts Robert (Police Constable) born Dufton, and Agnes, at 8 Cartwright Place Inkerman Street with sons Leslie Miles born 1909 and William born 1911.
Robert E was born 1913 and there was a Florence born 1914.

There is a family tree on Ancestry belonging to "sheward".
They are researching a different branch, which does, I think, trace back to the Miles Sill (posted previously) aged 75 in 1841. (and before!)
 
William Sill (husband of Ann in 1911) died in 1933 at Rose Cottage Powick,Worcester.
I have (hopefully) attached a copy of the Probate notice from 1934.
