What a cracking picture, Stitcher. I was born a long time after the 1920's but can remember most things including the Harlequin Assortment. Bemax rings a bell too, was it a sort of supplement, like Virol? I remember Smiths Crisps very well, my father always used to tell me not to eat the blue one! I never had salt on any crisps I had, I still don't have salt added to chips, etc, hate the stuff.

Ah, ahem, the sweet smell of wild woodbine...:023:

The less said about the three nuns the better...

I think they should bring Broadcast Cake back...

How times have changed eh. Ladies smoking tut tut. I no longer smoke or eat toffee and chocolate but ooh the memories.

I was up in our loft and found this tin. The pastilles in it might have been useful after too many Woodbines.:D
I notice that one of the active ingredients is Creosote !!

And made by Optrex! I used to smoke most things and a bit of creosote would open your passages (so I was told...) :skull:

Yes, I rather thought that. Your drift is ever more easily caught Grabber old man. But what of Balkan Sobranie? Them coloured fags that even Jimmy Bond couldn't afford. I smoked one in the Richmond Gents Only one night and was later asked out by a bally huge old Submariner with a beard. Who would have guessed? Never made THAT mistake again...Capstain Full or Park Drive ever since.

Black Russian? You give a whole new meaning to Собрание lol

The naughty puppy dog in the last picture set had a name but I can't remember what it was. He seemed to appear everywhere in that time period
