Does anyone remember the little shop in bordesley park road opposite the masonettes before all the old houses were pulled down for ever....it was situated not far from the old lodge pub, opposite the old lodge on the same corner i used to catch the bus into school going towards digbeth.
I'm rearly hopeing some one has photo's, ''that will be so grand''

Many thanks Nick.

You are right, the picture is before my time.

I remember the next generation of buses used the on board clipper (conductor) and it was the number 28 that ran along Bordesley Park Road back then.

The old houses in your picture are as I can remember, and I thank you for the picture.

Out of intrest, I did not relise that trams ran along that road, although it was the only means of public transport in that eara.

Many thanks again Nick, I look forward to searching relentlessly for shots of Simular intrest along that stretch of road.

For others reading this thread, the year I'm looking at is based around 1953-onwards.

If you do have pics....''please please post them''
