I was a milk monitor in my junior school. Jammy dodgers and those little bottles of milk… too good!
lynn i was a sub prefect in my last year at seniors..(i was not that good to be a full one lol ) and was tasked with the selling of tuck at break time..we also sold the chocolate tea cakes but if they were damaged we could not sell them..ashamed to say that sometimes my finger pressed too hard and squashed them :D well it seemed a shame to waste them didnt it :D:D

This brings back very fond memories. At Kingsthorn Road/Cranborne Road Infants, we used to take in two biscuits from home. They'd be wrapped in greaseproof paper or a brown paper bag. Mum had to write my name on the paper. Then, when you got into class, you'd hand them in to the teacher to keep in a box until break-time. They'd be handed out to children with their small bottle of milk, except I never had milk - couldn't bear the taste of full cream milk. I was a pasteurised gal !!

Sometimes the biscuits were Malted Milk, my absolute favourite. Occasionally (and disappointingly), they'd be plain Digestives or Morning Coffee. Still love Malted Milk.
