In 1881 family at 36 New Canal Street surname spelt Scarroll. It was in fact Joseph Scarrott /Martha Taylor who married in Aston 1852.
There are very few entries for the surname Scarrott in any census.Does ayone have this name in their family. :?: :?

SCARROTT is in my ancestry. I have Thomas SCARROTTT born 1820 Birmingham and Thomas SCARROTT born 1840 Aston Birmingham.
Thomas Scarrott[1820] married Sarah [ previously Julian ] Nee Sumner born Colston Bassett. Thomas was a Chelsea Pensioner so from that I presume he was in the army. They lived at 7 Hoylake Street Chorlton nr Manchester in 1880. Thomas born 1820 died 1880. Thomas born 1840 died in Portsmouth Hampshire 1920. Family has said that our Scarrotts owned patches in the bullring.

Hello:
There are 3 Scarrott names on the WW1 Canadian Expeditionary Forces database. Two are born in England. As this is an unusual name I thought I would send this to you. My family name is Burlton and it is also an unusual name and therefore every Burlton in the world is related in one way or another.
You can view the original enlistment papers online. They hold quite a lot of information.
Good luck

Hi
I've only just started to look into this side of my family. There isn't anyone alive now (that I know of) that can help me with my research so things are being found slowly! My grandmother was Charlotte Palmer who's mother was Charlotte Scarrott (1893-1928) who married William H Palmer. Charlotte Scarrott's father was John Edmund (1861-1907) and they were from the Staffordshire Potteries. Her mother was Anna Roberts from Wales.

My brother used to work with a Scarrott when he worked at Parker Hale, think his first name was Colin

Hi Sally, I will delve into my Scarrott history and see if there is any connection.
John Edmund born 1861 was born in Ipstones in the Staffordshire moorlands.
My son lives in Ipstones .a really beautiful village.John married Anna Roberts in Aston 1881.
Charlotte(1893) was obviously called after her grandmother(Johns parents were John/Charlotte)

John Edmund Scarrott (fathers name William)married Charlotte Fernihough(fathers name James)
24th June 1856 St Leonards,Ipstones.

I once knew a Rita Scarrott who lived in Mere Green. She was reared by her Grandparents when her mother died. The grandparents were named Willis who had a plant nursery in Tower Road, Mere Green. Rita joined the Wrens and I lost touch with her shortly afterwards. Hope this helps and if it does say hello for me. Regards, David.
