Could anyone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me if there is a street that sounds like or is in Aston Birmingham.
I am researching SCARROTT name in Birmingham.
I have a birth Certificate that states the birth occurred at 116 Holand Street or it could be Moland, Motlsed, Nolased or Molased STREET - it should be in the Parish of Saint Marys.

I would be soooooooooooooooooooooooo grateful for any ideas as to where it is or WAS. It is driving me mad that I can't find it :idiot2:

Thank you. :-*

Julie,
welcome to the forum
A Moland Street still exists,it runs between Corporation Street and Bagot Street.
Not sure of a date you're looking for but I think most of that area is factories, rather than housing

Colin

Many thanks for that... the date was 1840. Thomas Scarrott was born there then. I guess the house has been replaced by factories.

Again many thanks for taking the time to answer.

This threads a bit old, so 'ill not expect much :P

Some of my relatives lived on Moland Street, Court 13, house 1.
They were the Tye family and lived there around 1881.

Would really love an old map or photos from the area.

Anybody know where i might be able to get my hands on some?

Thanks

John
