All I have of my granddad (who I never met) is a small medallion with SBCW - League runners up 1931-32. It's clearly related to a card league of some sort. Just wondering if anyone here is able to shed some light on it?

I take it his name was R Flowers? Will search for him by name.
The letter SBCW don't come up with anything.

That's right Janice. His name was Frederick Flower - sometimes recorded as Flowers. I was guessing something like South Birmingham Canasta and Bridge? I've tried all sorts of things to find out more, but it's been all blanks so far.
 
Looks as if they also had a knockout competition - this from April 1930
