Saul Edward

Has anyone information about Edward Saul, who was born in Oldbury in 1898. His Mother was Margaret Saul nee McConnell who was born in Madras, His father was George Saul. They married in Madras, and Edward's older brother George, was also born in Madras.

He married my Great Aunt, Ada Burrows, and they had two children. Edward was asked by his wife to leave the family home around 1926. Nobody knows anything about him after this date. I know it is highly likely that he is now dead, but there may be people who know what happened to him. Fingers crossed.

Re: Edward Saul

hello sue, in 1935, 1939, 1945 and 1950 he is on the electoral rolls as living at 159 bath row, ladywood. there are always a few other people also living at the address. the electoral rolls only go to 1950 so cant help after that but hope this starts you off anyway :)

Re: Edward Saul

Thanks Shera.

I will let David, Edward's grandson and his mother Marjorie know this.

Sorry to be a pain, but can you tell me if the other residents at the house were mainly men. If you could PM me a copy of the names I would be grateful, as this could shed some light as to what happened to him after 1926.

1939 eli atkins, edward and florence keough and william arrant

1950 eli atkins, annie farrell and thomas c meaden.

Re: Edward Saul

Yes it is not as though it was one family. Perhaps he or Eli Atkins owned the house. Although Edward and Ada, never divorced, it is very, very unlikely that they lived togther, given why Ada asked him to leave.

Thanks again

Re: Edward Saul

Hi Ladylinda,

I was going to investigate his death this afternoon. So he was only 72 when he died. perhaps David and his mum will get the death cert so we can see what he died off. Thanks for looking

Sue
