I have just recently found the marriage registration for my uncle Alan John Oldfield, he married a lady named Dorothy D Sarjeant, they married in 1952 in Solihull. Why Solihull I don't know, as we are a Brummie family. I believe that Dorothy was living in some sort of young peoples home over Solihull way, and that might be why they married there. I would love to contact any of her family, or anyone who knew her.
