Samuel Russell Head of a Brass foundry

tresario

master brummie
Hello can anyone please help.

Samuel Russell 44 Vincent street..(where is that by the way, says kings norton, but thats just the area on certificate back then.) He died in 1909 so this was 1860-1890's

:wave:That not my query though

It says in the census he was the Head of a Brass foundry. How would you find out which one?

Does that mean he owned it or worked there or shared it?

Best Regards
Bernie

Re Samuel Russell, 44 Vincent Street, Balsall Heath.

I regret I can't answer your query re Sam's brass foundry but would be very grateful for any information you have on this chap; he was my great great grandfather.

Best wishes
David

There does not seem to be a brassfounder named Samuel Russell listed in the directories, so it is probablt that he was the manager rather than the owner.
