Rubery Quarry, Cock Hill Lane.

1966 Planning permission refused for quarring of roadstone and aggregate at the Quarry. Applicant Walton Gooddy (Aggregates) Ltd.

In 1969 Rubery Quarry was said to be a deathtrap for children, according to a councillor, after 3 children were rescued from narrow ledge. Also that a large number of council dwellings should never have been built so near to the quarry.
