I Can Recall That Pub Very Vividly I Lived At Victoria Rd Six Ways Aston
And Beleive Me You Could Always Gaureetee A Big Fight Fridays And Saturday Night
AndAs The Years Went On They Got Worsed Eventualy In The Seventies It Got Closed Down , Quite Often , The Licenceing Officer Was Very Choosie, To Elect A Strong Manager To Reopen IT Then It Settled Down For Afew Years It Went Quite For A Long While Then The Brewery Decided To Build A New Pub Down The Road
On Victoria Rd And At The Junction Of Victoria And Whitehead Rd About Half A Mile Away FromThe Oak And That Was A Lively Buzzing And Entertaing Pub Wth Live
Afro Carribean Music , And Not Once There Was Any Trouble In Donkey Years
But Further Down The Victoria Rd On The Corner Just Past The Swimming Baths Was A Pub Called The QUEENS Head In The Very Early Days It Was The Kings Head Befoe The Coronation , When It Was Changed To The QUEENS , In And During The Week It Was Always Very Empty But Friday , Saturday , Sunday There Was Always A Riot There Beleive Me ,Victoria Rd Police StatioN Was Always Heaving , And They Either Took Them To Digbeth Or Steel House Lane When The Police Stations Charged Them They Would Have Been Shipped Up ToThe Lock Ups , [ Steel house lane,]

nice isnt it froth...our kid used to work at the oak about 15 years ago.. he lived in wiggin tower on the 15th floor that was opposite..pulled down now...but thats no great loss..
