Do you remember " the old days " when if you needed to post a letter all you had to do was stick a stamp on the envelope & stick it in the post box. Nowadays posting Christmas cards is a chore. the letter has to be checked for size to make sure it will go through a letterbox, then it has to be weighed to make sure it`s not too heavy for the postal person to carry & to top it all you have to take out a 2nd mortgage to pay for the stamps. :cold_sweat:

I might have put in a recent post a few months ago i asked our Postman the difference between first and second class delivery and he said none. So they will not arrive the next day.
Still too cheap to be profitable though with the costs all around on the increase, back in the 'good old days' a postman out in all weathers earned a fiver a week and rode a bike, they all now have minimum wage paid holidays a pension scheme and a van.
I know Postman Pat has a van helicopter and a boat . I know all this because i watch it sometimes with the grandkids.
