Please can anyone help with this, The Rolyat's were Trapeeze Artists in 1920 - 30. A relative has a poster of them also on the poster is the Great Balloon Race.
We cannot date the poster or find anything out about them. Any help will be appreciated.
Many thanks.

Type Rolyat into Google Pat, then go to page 2 to the heading: Rootsweb ENG-Warw-Birmingham. It could lead you to what you are looking for.

Thankyou both for your information, we have tried googling and as I am no very computer literate I don't seem to get very far.
I can tell you that Rolyat was Taylor spelt backwards.
I found a Dan Rolyat who appeared on stage in a number of productions and had an accident later on and njured hs back.
He is not the one or any part of the same family. As far as we can tell.
Many hanks for your help.

That is correct. Dan Rolyat was a notable, popular actor/comedian in the early 1900s, not part of the Rolyat trapeze family. Dan's original name was Alfred Herbert Taylor, and he used Dan Rolyat as his stage name. He simply reversed the letters in his last name to create "Rolyat".

He was my grandfather. My father, Dan Taylor, was his only son by his third marriage. Rolyat died when my father was only a year old, sadly. Wish I could have gotten the chance to meet and know him, as my dad would have also, desperately.
