Hi everyone,
I am researching my fathers side of the family Nourse, can anyone help with any information about Philip Nourse and his family, Philip senior was a stonemason asnd sculptor, and it is believed that philip jr was the partner of Roddis & Nourse, does anyone no when they ceased trading etc or died,
any information of any type would be most gratefully received thankyou

there is a Stone Masons opposite teh entrance to the cemetery they would be a place to ask, my great aunt's memorial was by Roddie & Norse she died in 1991 so they where still in business then

Saw your query on the company first , so have given some information on that thread. The 1944 Kellys gives a Phillip Harry nourse at 221 Brookvale road. There is an Elphage Nourse at no 223. By the 1949 edition, no 221 is occupied by Miss E Nourse , with Elphage Nourse still at 223. By the 1950 edition neither are listed. Note the publication date above refers to the year before.
Mike
