RIP Johnnie Walker

Two particular things stick out in my memory reference good old Johnnie Walker , first thing his afternoon Radio 1 show in the 70's he always had a astrological section . One day he asked this young woman that had rang in for some reason or other, he asked her if she'd read her horoscope that day ." Nah don't believe in that rubbish she replied , Johnnie came back with 2 thirds of the world are covered in water and the tides are governed by the moon , your body is 7 eights liquid can you guarantee the planets have no affect on us ? Food for thought I thought . Secondly he had a quiz that went on from day to day. This Monday a young lady rang in she worked at the Corn Exchange that was where she rang in from on the first day, Mr Walker asked her a few questions about the work she didn't like the boss who was out of the office for a couple of days that was made clear. Anyway she knocked a couple of days off claiming sickness , making a couple of jabs about the boss as well she got all the way through to the Friday and she was back home again. Johnnie asked if she was feigning sickness again , " No the boss said my services were no longer required she replied the boss apparently was a keen Johnnie Walker fan he'd been listening all week .
