Hi'

I have recently bee given some memorial cards and one of them I can not find any info on at all.

Can someone pls pls help me, the info i have on the card is Edwin Alfred Richardson died October 21st 1939 aged 15, and was intered at City Cemetery Handsworth October 28th 1939.

I have a lot of Richardsons in my family and have no idea where this lad fits in

Info on Richardson

Hi Kaz,
My mother has a notebook that she received from her mother. In the book are a lot of details of the Salter family. One page contained the following information as best we can decypher:-

G Salter 31 Aug 1917 Prestwood House
Kings Swinford proved 14th Nov 1917 effecs 174647 M Salter ???? Bache ?& Bache EC Richardson 3 Sandwell Road Handsworth

What I am trying to find out is what was at 3 Sandwell Road in 1917. My research tells me that George Salter (of Geo Salter & co) died in 1917 and passed the company to the Bache family to which he was related. My guess it was a Lawyer's office and perhaps a partner was EC Richardson.

With your knowledge of the Richardsons, can you shed any any light on this.

My Richardsons did all come from the Handsworth area, so far i have not found any solicitors yet, they all seem to have been involved with the jewellery trade. So i am afraid i cannot shed any light on this for you as yet. If i do find any i shall let you know
