hi diane i have added richard stokes to the title of the thread and moved the thread to our surnames interest of the forum...exactly what sort of help are you looking for ..the more info you give the better ie the year he was born and where ?

He lived or worked there there around 1887 unfortunately that’s the only information I have
have you tried finding him on the census years...i use ancestry and you will have to subscribe to it to view any records

From what did you get the Augusta St address from?

i have but i cant find Augusta Street listed in the 1901 census and in 1911 he's not listed on Augusta street which makes me think he was working there, occupation was a silver spinner
