Hi
I have been looking for any sign of my 3x great grandfather, Richard Dickins, in the Birmingham records for many years now, but with no luck. On the census records he consistently said that the was born in 1810 in Birmingham. I can find a record for a Richard Dickins who was christened in Birmingham, son of Fowler and Catherine, who I believe may be my Richard's cousin. The son of Fowler and Catherine emigrated to the USA with his family, so I know this is not my Richard. In his 20's Richard had a business as a tailor in Wolverhampton, lived in Albrighton with his wife and family, before moving to Kings Norton upon the death of his wife, which is where he died in 1890. I have now reached a dead end where my Dickins research in concerned, unless I can find some clue as to Richard's parentage, so any suggestions would be gratefully received.
