Richard betteridge marriage

Hi all

Richard Betteridge married Margaret Jerome at St Martin's 09/09/1828. Could anyone tell me any information regarding their parents please or indeed anything from the marriage register.

richard betteridge of this parish. bachelor. margaret jerome of this parish. spinster. 9th sept 1828. both signed their full names and witnesses were benjamin clark and sarah betteridge

Richard And Margaret had a son Richard Ezekiel born 1833.
on the 1841 Richard snr not born in Warks.

there is baptism of a Richard Ezekiel Betteridge 2nd May 1802 Tamworth
parents Philip and Sarah.

The only Margaret Jerome on IGI is as follows:

An additional entry gives the above information for Richard Betteridge and says the spouse is Margaret Jerome.

Both these and the previous posting have been submitted by members of LDS church (rather than from original transcriptions), so should be checked.

I think the submitter of the entry has viewed an old document and misread the birthplace and gone for the most likely in this case Farnsworth when it should have been Tamworth and Handsworth,
This shows how unreliable submitted entries on IGI can be.

1851 census states
Richard b. 1803 Tamworth,Margaret 1804 Handsworth
Richard died in 1852 Birmingham
1861 Margaret b. 1804 Handsworth
1871 Margaret b. 1804 Handsworth
1881 Margaret b. 1804 Birmingham
Margaret died in 1883 Birmingham

Richard had a sister Sarah b. 1804 Tamworth so she could be the marriage witness.

I got Richard Ezekial's christening from an extracted IGI record but his parent's were Philip Betteridge and Mary? I maybe will have to forget this one but thanks again for your time.

Suzanne,I am not quite sure what you mean in your last post.
Where did you find the extracted record saying that mother was Mary because the only baptism on IGI for
Richard Ezekiel Betteridge has his parents as Philip and Sarah.
