Rice And Co Steam Guage Manufacturers

Does anyone have any knowledge of a Steam Gauge Manufacturer in the Aston area in the early part of the 20th century owned or run by a James Rice?

The only gauge manufacturer in Aston that I can find is Joseph Tomey & Sons Ltd, 29 Catherine St Aston - Gauge Glass, however I cannot find any link to a 'James Rice.'

F.S.Rice were there from between 1897 and 1899 till 1903. In 1904 it was do Courcy, whistle manufacturers, and in 1899 it was just Rice & Co.

The Whistle Museum website (see link below) has a picture of the De Courcy factory but whether that is the Frankfort Street or not, I do not know

Afraid it is not. In 1903 deCourcy were at 28½ Mary St . I haven't checked the numbers, but on streetview you can see this building in Mary st at https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=ca...oid=_vo2rxocVmONPCue7D38kg&cbp=12,358.52,,0,0
