REUNION OF SPIRITS

The light of my life has passed away
Gone from my sight this very day
Memories of you kept in my heart
And in my mind never to be apart

A new star seen in the heavenly sky
Seen shining brightly way on high
Twinkling as if to say I haven’t gone
You will see me when the day is done

Your life’s journey on earth is ended
While my new journey has just began
Your spirit is now free to travel
To that spirit world beyond the sun

It’s hard not to grieve when not planned
People they don’t seem to understand
For this loneliness I was not prepared
Losing a wife for whom I deeply cared

Life I must take it one day at a time
Happiness one day again will be mine
My spirit must not burden my despair
I must give it all my love and care

In Gods eyes my contract I did fulfil
So a new path I must travel at will
Angels are guiding my spirit each day
Spiritually safe on life great highway

Some day I know we shall meet again
For nothing can break the love chain
Steadfast and bonded forever to remain
Till we meet again in heavens domain
