Was that in Birchfield Wak?
 
A few more details Keith The pitch with no stand and an admission price of 3d (1 and a quarter new pence) was situated at the rear of the Old Steam Tram Depot at Perry Barr . A butcher let it out to the Villa for a rental ot £5 per annum September 1876 At that time Perry Barr was a village with a toll gate! adjoining a fine old house (still in place in the nineteen fifties) The players changed at the blacksmith's premises in those days with the supporters shouting come on 'The Perry Barr Pets' Link up soon WAK
