Red Admiral pub Gorse Farm Road

Just to go off on a bit of a tangent, but does anyone remember the Red Admiral pub( 1971) near to the Kings, I worked with my brothers building firm and we used to call in after work , I was 20 then and didn’t drink so made do with limeade, I was really good at darts but couldn’t count to save my life and relied on others to tell me what to get,one night while there was a match between pubs the Red Admiral was short of a team member and they pushed me up to play, the other team took exception to me being told what to go for , but was told I wasn’t the full ticket and would throw a loon if I couldn’t play, we won that night and the team gave me a small cup to take home, I joined the team the next week.

I've set up this thread for the pub. It no longer exists (victim of arson, demolished) and now, I believe, the site of a Co-op.

It had a "Good Cheer Cellars" outdoor. I remember other pubs of this age (1940s or 50s ?) having one.

Just checked, there is a Co-op on the former site. Gorse Farm Road is to the right in this Streetview.
