re calling of banns

sheri

master brummie
Hi everyone, I'm sure someone will be able to tell me - when banns were called in a particular parish does this mean at least one of the couple must be resident there or did their family address count - I have a copy of the marriage of gt.gt.grandparents in 1818 but it is quite faded but dose'nt say much so still looking for the baptism of John Blackham in about 1795/6.
Thank you
Sheri

Hi Sheri:)it was and still is the rule that one of them live in the parish the banns are called in :)
