Raddle Barn Road, Selly Oak.

Good evening from rural NSW Australia. I have a Death Certificate that says the "Where and when died" was 31st May 1932 at what looks like 1. B. and then Raddle Barn Road, Selly Oak. I suspect this might hva e been a hospital of some sorts since the cause of death was complications after aflling down some stairs. Does anybody know what hospital or other place might have occupied this site in 1932 ?

Regards, Chainsaw.

Hi Chainsaw,
The hospital is still there, SELLY OAK HOSPITAL, as well as being a normal hospital ,it is now the major treatment centre for soldiers wounded in Afghanistan.
Regards John.

Hi John,

Thanks for the answer. Some things are more difficult to follow up on when you are 12,000 miles away. I appreciate you time.

Regards, Chainsaw.

I believe 1b Selly Oak Hospital was the Maternity Ward, as was 1a. I was born 1b in 1942. My son was born in 1965 at Lordswood Rd, Maternity hospital and was moved to Selly Oak ward 1a, which was by then it was a Paediatric Surgery Ward.
