It is with deep sadness I have to tell you that our deer friend Dennis passed away during Saturday night at approximately three o'clock. R.I.P Dennis you lovely person. One of the last perfect gentlemen. xx

I never knew Dennis, but from the tributes, he must have been a much loved man. My deepest sympathy to all his family and friend. R.I.P.

Although I never met Dennis from my communications with his he does seem to have been a gentleman. My sincere condolences to all his loved ones.
 
I for one found Dennis's post to be of tremendous skill and interest. We will certainly miss his humor, historic thoughts and writings and most of all the man he was.
 
Dennis created great interest with his knowledge and sense of humour will be sadly missed , condolences to his family

I am so sorry to hear this sad news, I met Dennis on a few of our early Forum meet ups and he was a lovely man and devoted to his wife Sylvia. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.
