Things are a bit quiet on the pub section. who can identify the 4 pics below, all of which can be seen in or close to the City centre. I won't respond for 24 hours to see if anybody can get all 4

1. The Victoria - John Bright St (Go on, I'll have a half.)
2. Trocadero (Just to sociable, oh alright, make it a Guinness)
3 Sheems to be The Westward Ho, no hang on, it's not 1976 is it, it's 2010! Is it really? If you insist, make it a large one but don't tell the wife!
4. You're my best friend! What, the last photograph? Haven't a clue old bean! Hic, lies down in Pidgeon Park. Those nice Goths are looking for my address in my wallet.

Congratulations BB. You show a worryingly intimate relationship with the pubs of central Brum! All 3 spot on and until I started taking photos I confess I rarely noticed some of the lovely architecture.

No shame in not getting no.4 as its been closed for many years. It can be seen at the Summerhill (corner of Summer Hill Terrace & Powell St). It shows the Holder's brewery insignia. Holders were taken over by M&B nearly 100 years ago. Other rare examples of Holders brewery can be seen at Craven Arms, Selly Park Tavern and New Inns (erdington)

Hope you've now sobered up after that pub crawl BB!

Mint whats the name of the pub in Summer hill terrace and Powell st is it The George and Draggon or the Stores or is it the Summer Hill Tavern where every one went for a pint with their ice skates on from across the road at the rink

Mossy

It was the 'Stores' Mossy. The Tavern was close by, a bit closer to Spring Hill as I recall

Bob

the Tavern and the Stores were nearly side by side ..one of them was a freehouse but can't remember which one
