I wondered if anyone has any information about Pte Henry Perrow from Small Heath who was killed while serving with the Oxford & Bucks Light infantry on 19/7/1917

He was born in 1895 to Henry James Perrow and Margaret nee Taggart who married 1890
Margaret later married Albert Birch in 1905 and is with him and her children Henry James , John and Lucy in 1911
Little Green lane.
the certificate of his death in 1917 gives his mothers name as Margaret Perrow,of 204 Little Green Lane ,small heath, Birmingham.

He is commemorated at Cambrin Military Cemetery in France, His birth is registered in Aston in the 1985 March Qtr. 6b 216. On the 1911 census are Henry age 16 AND James age 13. James born in 1898 also registered in Aston March qtr. The address is now 210 Little Green Lane. Could be the same house as numbers change. In 1901 Albert was single and was a Boarder living in Aston.

By the way the 1901 census shows Albert Birch as being a Boarder with Margaret Perrow. Margaret has a M (for married) but she is the Head so no husband with her. She is living in Windsor Rd, Aston. As Henry J (father) appears on the 1891 census - what happened to him?

There is a H Perrow living St Mary's Row, he is listed as a boarder and married but no family. Doesn't quite match with Henry in 1891 but it is not a common name in Bham.

Also there appears to be a military record dated 1895 for a Henry J Perrow, Coldstream Guards.
