FORMER LICENSEE'S DEATH The death took place, on
Sunday, of Mr. George Pritchett, aged 84, who lived with his second son, Mr. R.
E. Pritchett, of 59 Lowesmoor, Worcester. Mr.
Pritchett, a native of Birmingham, had lived in the county for many years. He was for several years the licensee of the Star Hotel, Pershore, and before that (for 12 months) of the Nag's Head, Malvern.
He claimed to be the first publican to be granted a licence at the New Victoria Law Courts in Birmingham in 1890. Predeceased by his wife 14 years ago, Mr. Pritchett leaves three sons and two grandchildren. His daughter died in South America some time ago.
