Hi! I have photo's and articles that feature some rare photographs. In particular, Primrose Hill Farm and the surrounding in pre- 3 estates Kings Norton (Hawkesley, Primrose Hill, Pool Farm) as well as historic data. Please feel free to visit my website: www.knex3.org (go to Lost or Forgotten section and visit John Hedgeland story).

Regards,

Harry P.

Harry P,

I remember Primrose Farm when it was a garden centre in the early eighties.

Primrose Hill Farm

Hi! Yes I received a letter via Kings Norton Library from a gentleman who used to get his manure from there around that time as well. I don't know if you have been, but my article on John Hedgeland in Lost and Forgotten section of www.knex3.org explains a little about what happened after that time. It seems the council sold it and the owner, going bankrupt (it is believed) was unable to maintain and restore the buildings. I have heard that now, after many years, it is to be turned into sheltered accommodation.

Was the farm close to the Girl Guides County camp site as the name rings a bell. Used to camp there many years ago. {Many many years ago}. Jean.
