Thanks for clarifying - now I just need to find the right one!
On the other side of the family, the Nuttings we're finding some interesting stuff. David Nutting born 1866 was of a largish family but our understanding is his family were sent to the Blue Coat School in Harborne (we think they were abandoned or something). Therefore David and his son Percy Clarence never mentioned brothers and sisters although we knew they had some. We were told before owning a shop in 160 Muntz Street David was a shoemaker. However having corresponded with a distant relative here we know there was a Philip Nutting and a Francis Nutting who were brothers to David . I found what I think relates to census for David Nutting, certainly the 1901 does and related searches shows a David Nutting in a workhouse in Sleaford (it does state he was originally from Birmingham) with what looks like his mother, Selina and a few siblings. 10 years later (1891) he is back in Birmingham living with a brother Philip Nutting and his family and sister Elizabether and Philip was a shoemaker, David is listed as a factory worker I think. Is there anywhere I can look for Blue Coat School records? trace DAvid's parents, if they were Selina and I think it might have been David Nutting then it does seem that the family were split for some reason. I really appreciate your help. Thanks v much again
